The Brazilian midfielder must surely head out of CSKA Moscow at some stage soon - the only surprise is that it didn’t happen after his man-of-the-match performance inspired the club to victory in the Uefa Cup final against Sporting Lisbon last season.
Carvalho is only 22 and Bayern Munich are believed to see him as the perfect replacement for Ballack. Carvalho has been linked with Benfica, but seems certain to hold out until one of Europe’s bigger clubs makes a play for his services. CSKA will be looking for at least Pounds 14m
